Story
Who are we?
We are a small Dunedin catering business focused on bringing fresh local food to your table.
We are well known in the wedding industry for suppling vibrant aesthetic grazing tables, platters and cakes.
Recently we have purchased a Central Dunedin Cafe, giving us the space we need to offer so much more than that. We will now be offering a wide range of new catering options for your event.
Alternatively, you can join us for a coffee and delicious baking at 10 George Street x
Catering, Platters and Cakes
Our platters, tables and cakes have been feeding Dunedin and Central Otago for the past 3 years as Goodness Grazes. We now operate under Gary & Lolas but continue to operate at the GG high standard.
We always use the best seasonal and local ingredients possible, with our goal being to feed people food made with love and care.
Katelyn and Sammy
Katelyn is a born and bred Dunedin girl. With nearly 2o years industry experience. You've likely seen her running some of the best Dunedin Cafes and if you've been one of her regular customers you'll know just how much she cares about the service she gives. When not at work you'll find her out for coffee or eating at one of the many Dunedin hotspots with her partner Ben and dog Gary.
Sammy moved to Dunedin at 18 to pursue her culinary career. During this time, she spent two years working in fine dining restaurants in London. On return she has lead kitchens in Head Chef roles; she's helped set-up and run multiple well-known Dunedin Restaurants and cafes. Her own catering business Goodness Grazes has been her baby for the past 3 years. With over 20 years in and around hospitality she's a bit of a workhorse. When she's not working, you'll find her walking her dog Lola at the beach with her husband Daniel.
Why Gary and Lolas?
After a few jokes about opening a business together, we soon realised that it actually just makes sense. With Katelyn's exceptional customer relations and management experience, and Sammy as a Head chef with an extensive background in running kitchens and developing new menus; it's the perfect partnership.
Katelyn has a dog called Gary, and Sammy has a dog called Lola... so that was a no brainer! Plus, they're really cute so they deserve it.
